Reviews
'My daughter was completely immersed in this book. At just-turned-9, she's aware of puppy farms and the recent increase in dog thefts, so this story was very relevant and thought-provoking, and sparked several conversations. Having said that, despite the darker subject matter, the characters are so endearing and in some cases comical that it's not a depressing read at all - in fact, it's giggle-out-loud funny in places and touching in others. It has a lovely message about teamwork and celebrating differences running through it, but it's naturally entwined with the plot so doesn't feel like anyone's being preached at (a pet hate in some other children's books!).'

'Friendly and funny characters who really helped bring the story to life. My dog loving daughter is constantly on the look out for the characters from the book! Really helped to raise awareness of dog theft and puppy farming for children in a sensitive way. Perfectly pitched for young readers. We can’t wait to read the next book in the series of Daley’s Dog Tales!'

BOOK 3 - JINGLE BELLA TO THE RESCUE

Picture
Jingle Bella to the Rescue is the third book in the series.

Bella the Dalmatian has only just found love and safety in her new home after being rescued from a puppy farm. Other dogs were not so lucky. They are still trapped and need help to escape.
They’re not the only ones who need her.
Bella will need to risk everything to become a rescue dog like her new best friends, Petra and Lucy.
Is she prepared to do what it takes to become part of the Daley’s dog rescue  team?

Reviews of Jingle Bella

"My 9-year-old is completely in love with Bella! She’s also a big fan of the dogs who starred in the two earlier books in this series, Lucy and Petra, but Bella’s puppyish optimism, big ideas, uncertainty and eagerness to belong make her a real favourite. This story is actually about all three characters - and their owners too - with funny quirks and details bringing them all vividly to life, but it’s Bella who is centre stage when the true drama unfolds. It’s tense and exciting - just enough danger for my daughter to be totally immersed and a bit scared about the outcome, but not too much for this age group. And it’s got a festive feel to a lot of it too. A perfect Christmas present."  A Wright

"
My 9 year old couldn’t put this book down! The author has a marvellous way of hooking you into the plot right from the start and then making you want to read on ‘just one more’ chapter!
It’s an exciting, heart warming tale with very relatable characters and plot.  A definite must read for all young dog-lovers. Highly recommended."  M Mean

Two Shoes reviews:
'There are life skills to learn in this book.  The children thought the separation was sad until they began to enjoy the adventures.  They loved the illustrations in particular. A great way to help children understand emotions. Would recommend!"

'The book can be read in one sitting, but equally, the chapters, which are beautifully and comically illustrated, can be saved for a future bedtime.
I absolutely recommend as it will undoubtedly bring up conversational opportunities with your child after reading.'
